Attribution

The Free and Supporter plans ask one thing in return for the data: a credit to Flora Codex wherever you use it, linked to floracodex.com. Starter and the plans above it don't ask for the credit, though you're welcome to keep it.

The line

Show these words, linked to https://floracodex.com:

Data from Flora Codex

Keep the words as they are. How the line looks is up to you, so it can match the rest of your page.

The snippet

On a web page, this is the whole of it:

<a href="https://floracodex.com">Data from Flora Codex</a>

Paste it where the data shows and style it like your other links.

Where it goes

Put the line where someone looking at the data can find it:

  • On a web page, near what it credits: under the table, chart or record, or in the footer of the page that shows it.
  • In an app, on the screen that shows the data, or on an about or credits screen that screen leads to.
  • Where a link can't be followed, as in print or on a slide, write the address out: Data from Flora Codex, floracodex.com.

Credit owed elsewhere

This line credits Flora Codex. It doesn't stand in for any credit a source's own license asks for, on any plan. The Terms cover reusing what the API returns.
